The wines of the Saint-Joseph appellation are produced south of the Condrieu appellation and north of the Saint-Peray appellation. There are red Saint-joseph and white Saint-Joseph.
The red Saint-Joseph are almost exclusively made with Syrah, but a tolerance allows to add 10% white grape varieties Marsanne and / or Roussanne.
The white Saint Joseph is rarer, but it is often fine and fruity, very pleasant during aperitif.
