Among the different Côte-Rôties of the Domaine Les Vins de Vienne, this cuvée "Les Essartailles" is part of the Amphore d'Or selection!

The plots are located south of Vienne and are clearly visible when you take the sunny road as they face south-east on the commune of Ampuis.

The vines are more than 40 years old and are planted on 2 hectares.

100% Syrah, this wine has a beautiful dark red colour as dark as the nature of the fruit aromas that emerge from the olfactory analysis.

Indeed, it is a nice bouquet of fruits such as blackberry, blackcurrant and ripe cherry that can be found on the nose as well as on the palate with a perfect balance and finesse.

The maturing of nearly 18 months in oak barrels brings a lot of roundness to this wine from one of the most prestigious appellations of our French wine heritage.


Food and wine pairing with this Côte-Rôtie Essartailles

This pretty bouquet of fruit is just waiting to be associated with a nice piece of red meat, beef, lamb and why not duck, accompanied by a nice wine sauce.  Why not also try a red fruit reduction sauce??

A duck breast with raspberry vinegar would be a very nice association and to make it a little simpler, this wine would also be perfect with the famous Oeufs en Meurette of Burgundy !
