The plot of land of the place called "Bonnivières" is clearly identified on the label since Yves CUILLERON has chosen to put the topographical map on the labels for all his parcel wines. This allows us to easily locate the terroirs and identify the parcels concerned.

The place called "Bonnivières" is located in the commune of Ampuis which is, along with Tupins-et-Semons and Saint-Cyr sur Rhône, one of the three communes in the Côte-Rôtie appellation area. Three quarters of the "lieux-dits" within the appellation are also located in this commune.

The "Bonnivières" vineyard is located on a superb east-facing plot of land with vines, most of which are over 50 years old.

Yves CUILLERON has chosen for many years to give priority to sustainable viticulture and to adapt his interventions according to the weather.

Aged for more than 18 months in barrels, this Côte-Rôtie "Bonnivières" has a nose very much oriented towards black fruits such as blackberries and blackcurrants with some woody and smoky aromas.

The tasting confirms our first olfactory impressions by releasing in mouth a mineral aspect which is the brand image of this Lieu-Dit. Very nice balance with a beautiful elegance that lingers on the palate.

This is a wine for laying down that is best enjoyed with patience for at least 5 years! Then, the aromas will continue to evolve favourably for up to 15-20 years!
