"Fortis" comes from Latin meaning Strong, Vigorous, Solid. And this Côte-Rôtie bears its name well with a hard structure and aromas that strongly express the character of the terroir and Syrah.

The soil of the vineyards of this beautiful area is arid and rocky on steep slopes that are among the sunniest in the northern Rhône Valley. The vines of these old vines must go deep into the granitic soil if they want to survive, they thus rise awesome aromas.

Stéphane MONTEZ adds 5% viognier to round off this cuvée, which remains very pleasant even when young, and this "wild" red wine is also mastered by 21 months of ageing in oak barrels.

This great Côte-Rôtie expresses powerful aromas of blackcurrant and vanilla with a long, slightly spicy finish.

It is difficult not to be satisfied when you love the prestigious great Syrah from the northern Rhône Valley, it is a very great red wine.

Un Côte-Rôtie qui envoit du bois!

Ce Fortis est la bouteille reine du domaine Montez : Arômes puissant, structure charnu et élégance au top, un bijou!!
Nous l'avons ouvert en famille à l'occasion d'un apéritif dinatoire avec des amateurs de grands vins rouges accompagnés de petits morceaux de filet de boeuf marinés juste saisi sur une plancha minute...il faudrait vraiment être très difficile pour ne pas adorer ce vin.

    Un des meilleurs Côte-Rôtie

    de toute façon le domaine Montez fait une des meilleures Syrah (la syrah à papa) un des meilleurs Saint-Joseph (cuvée du Papy) donc il est logique que son rouge haut de gamme envoie du lourd. Cette cuvée Fortis est excellente, à réserver aux grands repas festifs.

    Magistral !

    Nous avons découvert ce vin rouge autour d'un repas gastronomique. Il a merveilleusement accompagné de la viande rouge braisé, plus original des rognons mi-cuits et nous avons terminé la bouteille avec une diligence de fromages fermiers : FANTASTIQUE, ce Côtie-Rotie Fortis du domaine Montez doit être goûter par tous les amateurs de Côte-Rôtie "à l'ancienne".

      Tout simplement superbe!

      Ce Côte-Rôtie du domaine MONTEZ est un bijou, un très grand vin rouge du nord de la vallée du Rhône. Un belle structure, des arômes et une finale éblouissante et beaucoup d'équilibre.
      Ce fortis est une perle parmi les très grands vins de Côte-Rôtie.

        Un magnifique Côte-Rôtie

        Ce Fortis a un nez délicieux et en bouche c'est une explosions de saveurs, bien rectilignes, bien maîtrisées.
        Un vin rouge plein de caractère et d'élégance, rien de gênant à la dégustation, que le plaisir de découvrir un Côte-Rôtie de très haut niveau.
