Be careful, we are in the presence of a great wine from the Rhone Valley. In the same spirit as the HELUICUM or the SOTANUM of the wines of Vienna or the Asiaticus of Pierre Gaillard, the vineyards of Seyssuel have elaborated this cuvée with all the know-how of the experienced winemakers who founded this estate (Louis CHEZE, Laurent & Pascal MARTHOURET and G.TREYNARD).

This vintage of SAXEOLUM is particularly successful with a truly exceptional density and vigour.

The slopes of Seyssuel are precisely the place where the Rhône valley is the narrowest, the winds are accelerated there and the climate is therefore much drier than in the rest of this area. As for the terroir, it is exceptional with the Côte-Rôtie appellation areas not far away.

With a very particular identity, this wine is at the level of many Côtes-Rôties. It is difficult to be disappointed and the price is very reasonable given the quality.


Food and wine pairing with this Saxeolum

Difficult to list all the possible agreements with this red wine, in front of such a quality many agreements are possible, in particular all that revolves around tasty braised meat, meat in sauce, game. This Seyssuel wine is also very pleasant with strong cheeses.

Très bon et prêt à boire

Vin bu lors d'un barbecue. Déjà prêt à boire, mais pet encore vieillir. Vin fin et élégant qui a plu à tout le monde. Une belle syrah, proche des côtes roties

    Très en forme actuellement

    Bu lors d'un barbecue. beaucoup de fruit et assez velouté en bouche. Vaut largement certains Côtes Roties.

      Un pur nectar !

      Ce Saxeolum est tout simplement époustouflant. Un nez très "Saint-Joseph" et en bouche je trouve ça vraiment comparable à un bon Côte-Rôtie. Vraiment étonnant ce qu'arrive à faire les vignerons sur cette zone Vienne/Seyssuel alors que le vin ne profite actuellement que d'une IGP. A déguster absolument.

        Une vraie merveille !

        J'ai rarement dégusté un vin avec des arômes de mûres aussi marqués, avec une élégance et une finesse remarquables.
        Ce Saxeolum est un magnifique vin rouge à découvrir, dans la même lignée que l'Heluicum, le Sotanum ou l'Asisticus.
        Impossible de ne pas apprécier, c'est du niveau des bons côtes-rôtie.

          Magnifique

          Un vin rouge très équilibré, très harmonieux avec une explosion d'arômes fruités en bouche.
          Une véritable merveille ce Saxeolum retenez bien son nom!

            Un vin rouge exceptionnel !

            Une magnifique Syrah ronde, élégante, douce et avec de beaux arômes.
            Vraiment excellent, cette belle cuvée n'a rien à envier à beaucoup de Côtes-Rôtie.
            Même à ce tarif on a ici un super rapport qualité prix !

              Excellent

              Un grand vin rouge comme je les aime.
              J'ai mis ce vin en carafe 30 min avant dégustation.
              Les arômes sont bien marqués et le vin est charpenté. Très intéressant.
